In order to make transport in Berlin more climate-friendly and humane in the future, the Berlin Mobility Act was passed in the House of Representatives a few years ago. The aim was to improve cycling, walking and the use of public transport in particular. The coronavirus crisis and the increased need for cycle paths in German cities have made it clear how quickly and effectively changes in transport are possible.
So what lessons and conclusions can be drawn from recent years for climate-friendly, active mobility in the future?
What challenges will the urban planning and energy sectors have to face?
Are there lessons and conclusions that we can draw from the coronavirus crisis?
The event will be moderated by Carel Mohn, editor-in-chief at klimafakten.de.
As part of the online event, research projects by (young) scientists and spin-offs of the participating partners were presented via video pitch.
