DEkarPKMU-App

Focus:
Energy
Target groups:
Small and medium-sized enterprises

Description

The DEkarPKMU app is an open access software tool for industrial companies. It enables an initial assessment of the feasibility and economic impacts of integrated decentralized energy systems on the basis of the individual requirements of a company. Regardless of whether measures have already been taken, how detailed consumption curves can be mapped, or what conditions the respective production system entails, the tested models under the umbrella of the DEkarPKMU app can generate appropriate energy system designs, identify load flexibilities, and estimate the potential for cost and emission reductions. This provides a basis for companies to make sound decisions on the further planning of integrated decentralized energy systems.

How it works

If you would like to find out more, please contact Kristian Bänsch at TU Berlin’s Chair of Operations Management.

Background

The app is the result of the CCC-funded project “Decentralized Energy Systems for the Decarbonization of Production Processes of SMEs in the Berlin/Brandenburg Region,” which was tested in practice with the companies Berliner Seilfabrik and Moll Marzipan and in cooperation with experts from the energy consultancy oekotec Energiemanagement GmbH.
